Containing only flour, salt and water as its ingredients, you would be forgiven for thinking that sourdough is a simple loaf to make. However, there are specific processes and techniques needed to make good sourdough bread and we want to teach you these skills!
When you come on one of our sourdough courses, you will spend the day in the bakery learning with Shynara, our Master baker. She will cover the basics of how to make this wonderful bread, from keeping your starter alive, to proving your dough, to shaping and baking your bread. This course is designed to give you the knowledge and practise to be confident to bake your own sourdough at home.
Our Basic Sourdough course is £150, including lunch and refreshments. You will have bread to take home with you, as well as your very own Starter, a plastic scraper and some flour. No experience is necessary and we can't wait to welcome you.
