FAB Bakery was founded in 2017 by Shynara Bakisheva. Trained at the School of Artisan Food in Nottinghamshire, Shynara specialises in sourdough breads.​


Our bakery opened in April 2020 and it is in the heart of the suburb of Fenham in the West-end of Newcastle upon Tyne. The bakery is open Wednesday- Saturday and sells a range of artisan breads, sourdoughs and specialist bakes, all freshly baked that morning.​ We also have fresh croissants and pain au chocolat daily and offer a vegan pastries at the weekend.


Please do come and see us and taste the bakes that have seen queues around the block.... Get an almond croissant if you can, because they sell out quickly! We also sell tea and freshly made coffee to takeaway, from local suppliers Pumphreys, as well as lunch items and changing daily special breads and bakes.

FAB Bakery is proud to be a member of the Real Bread Campaign. You can read more about it here, but the campaign calls for a legal definition of sourdough, to protect the integrity of the genuine craft of the bread. All of our sourdough bread is produced with sourdough culture, rather than chemical leavening.
